Hand-crafted design, from us to you
When it comes to beautiful illustrations – of your husband, wife, cat, or all three – Geoff Gregory is the man who can bring them to life. He’s been turning his hand to amazing art since he could pick up a pencil, and is clients love him all the more for it.
Though art is subjective, getting ahead and cutting through the competition is not. There is no luck here – only the most considered web design can help businesses get a design presence that turns heads. And that’s exactly what we set out to do with our client.
When Geoff submitted his design brief, our web designers couldn’t wait to get started.
Now, we’re not pretending we’re Picasso’s protégés, but when it comes to website design, we’re pretty good at it. Just ask our hundreds of clients.
Take a look at how we turned one simple design brief into a full functioning open shop window for Geoff and his masterpieces.
As any artist’s website ought to, we really wanted this website to show off our client’s work. After all, that’s the focus of the website itself.
That’s why, when you first land on this homepage, we’re met with an unconventional vertical navigation bar. Why? So we have room for something more important – our client’s work. To the right of the navigation bar, clients are able to view, in their full bliss, our client’s work. And so, in this wonderfully large homepage slider, customers can sift through and get a flavour of Geoff’s art and what it represents for him and his clients.
Positioned nicely underneath all this is a content area featuring an introductory text as well as additional images of his work. Underneath these images, we’ve added sky blue call to action buttons, as well as contact call to actions to enable a smoother customer journey from start to finish.
We’re not neglecting the navigation bar – far from it.
When customers scroll down this website, the sticker side bar means they can reach their next destination page with just a click of a button. Making the customer journey easy is what we’re all about here.
Another selling point of our client’s brand spanking new web design is the visuals themselves. With a neutral grey and white colour palette, we are able to achieve two things for our client. First, content stands out on the white background, and helps make content legible for all users. Second, the grey tones help emit a professional and focused design that engages with users. And with a sans serif typeface, the way content is communicated has just got a whole lot better.
Geoff Gregory’s Portraits isn’t just a website to display his art, however. It’s a website to round off his other marketing efforts. It’s a place to unite his audiences who find in his website a convenient means to contact him, view prices, and learn more about his upcoming projects. I
t’s not just a website for business, it’s a website for success.
