A delicious web design recipe for business success

When it comes to producing the finest, most delicious, vintage jams – Vintage Kitchen know how to roll up their sleeves, flour the surface, and get it done.

They’ve been exporting their famous jams to clients up and down the country – and the world – for years. And on the back of success in the kitchen, it was time to establish themselves and attract more customers.

Did somebody say a spoonful of sugar a high-quality website? Now we’ll be honest – we don’t know how to produce the most amazing vintage jams.

But we do know how to make something equally desirable – low-cost, high-quality websites. And that’s exactly what our web design wizards did for our confectionery services client.

Take a further look below to see how.

Website Design & Website Interface

As soon as we received the client brief from the experts over at Vintage Kitchen, we were incredibly excited to get going with this project.

We must admit, designing an affordable website for a confectionery company had us all pining for a taste of their jams.

Resisting this temptation, our web design team got to it – and the colour palette was our first port of call.

As any foodie out there will know, pastel colours work a treat on any food-related website.

That’s because they perfectly represent the similar colours used in icing, packaging, and branding.

And this is what we mean when we say colour palettes have the power to truly transform the way websites exude emotion and other values.

For our client, these pastel colours (often arranged in stripes and other patterns) are perfect for creating a fun, relaxed, and delicious space which sums up our client down to a T (or should that be tea?)

Elsewhere on our client’s website, we’ve ensured other design features promote the overall branding. The font, for example, is lovingly rustic and titles are set in a warm brown. Brown is a wonderful colour to use on baking websites as it represents all things arts and crafts, dough, tweed bows, and delicate paper boxes. Perfect.

Thanks to this considered web design, our client’s website is transformed into a modern one, whilst still retaining an ounce of tradition that seems quite familiar.

And thanks to a positive, vibrant interface, customers will find it easier than ever to discover the products they came for.

Which brings us nicely on to our final point.

As with every single of our eCommerce websites we build, we ensure that they are optimised for conversions – and this means making them client-oriented. And easy to use.

eCommerce business websites often forget the customer journey, and this is always damaging for sales.

When our web design team started building our client’s website, it was important they approached the website from a customer point of view.

And to make this website go further, we included action-friendly call-to-actions, as well as enticing images when appropriate.

And when it came to the shopping catalogue itself, it is everything an eCommerce website catalogue should be: dynamic, simple, and customer-friendly.

Consumers are able to filter searches by product type, price, and more – making it easier for them to find their next treat (or two!)
