Red Website Design’s very own Mark Walker-Ford is on a mission to raise valuable funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
In March 2021, the managing director is set to run not one, not two, not three, but seven marathons in just seven days, with the funds going straight to the hospital to support their amazing work.
Inspired by his son James’ courageous fight against Leukaemia, Mark is once again putting on his running shoes to join the fight against cancer (he only went and ran an isolation marathon in lieu of the cancelled Manchester Marathon!)
To support his challenge, a dedicated website has been created to help spread awareness and centralise the fundraising fight.

What our designers have created is a no-frills, stunning website which takes the user through the buyer journey where they can learn more about Mark’s fundraising effort, and, hopefully make a donation to a good cause.
The website is full to the brim with colour, exciting animation and bubbly call to action buttons. Not only do these make the website more visually appetising – they assist in the delivery of content to ever user.
Since the aim of the website is to encourage and increase the number of donations, it made sense to approach the design with minimalism in mind. From the homepage to the contact page, our team of UK web designers made sure that only necessary content made the final cut.
And thanks to this minimalist approach, the website is a modern, refreshing take on a classic fundraising website, connecting users with content on an interface that is as intelligent as it is functional.
Whether it’s the orange, white and blue colour scheme, the interactive animation on images and call to actions, or the effortless layout of content built around user behaviour – this website has been designed in a way to optimise the user journey and invite donations.
