Design

Designing a website for a chartered certified accountancy firm means two things: clarity and trust. At every stage of the design process we kept our client’s values at the core, meaning the finished product was one that truly spoke for them.

Entering the webpage, it’s easy to see why we like it so much. It is very open and inviting, making the most of space where appropriate. We’ve also keept the customer in mind as they scroll down to see various CTAs to assist them with their journey.

Our colour palette for this one speaks vibrancy, optimism, professionalism, and fun. The orange slice in our client’s logo is reflected and refracted across the breadth of design, ensuring it’s a consistent and associable experience for the future.

Further to this, the light greys and orange hues that run effortlessly through this site are great for encouraging connotations of reliability and modernity – the very values that get our client up in the morning.

Typography

Typography, as a concept, is a visual language that communicates your brand to the outside world. This is your opportunity to really influence how others perceive your stamp on the digital landscape. For the main bulk of the text, we’ve gone with Lato – an enduring sans serif typeface that evokes clarity, relevance, and confidence.

Logo

It goes without saying: logos are one of your first major touchpoints with your consumer base, representing everything you represent. Our client’s logo is a clever one: can you see the forward-facing arrow sitting in the middle of E and X? The ones at the front paying attention will notice it has similarities with the FedEx logo, with both evoking positivity and progress.

Not only that – it’s a very modern and crisp logo with sharp corners. The space that breaks the letter A into two individual components really sets the brand off as being contemporary and forward-thinking. And, above all, this logo speaks simplicity, telling you everything you need to know about this brand and what their purposes are.

UX

It’s good to leave a lasting impression.

If your visitors have a unique, fulfilling and meaningful connection with your brand and website, the chances are they’re more likely to return.

UX is all about empowering your digital space to make it as meaningful as possible for visitors – they have come to your website often with an intention, so ensuring features are geared for usability is crucial for a valuable experience.

Keeping the navigation header simple and free of jargon has really made a difference for accessibility – and ensures the customer journey remains effortless.

And a good welcome is always pleasant – ours is bold and warm, and leads nicely to a CTA encouraging visitors to find out more about Apex.

We loved working with our client for this website, and love to see them doing so well. In fact, you could almost say they keep the boo out of bookkeeping(!)
