Martha Harlem was 38 years old when she was diagnosed with Ataxia.

A neurological disorder affecting the brain’s cerebellum and one yet to have a known cure. Now 69, Harlem is setting out to raise awareness of the disease and help fundraise for a cure. I

t’s a disease that has run through her family for 4 generations, and one that desperately needs to be more widely understood. That’s where we come in.

With a brand-new website, Harlem is both able to spread the word about the disease and help raise funds to tackle it. Here’s how our web design team turned a brief into something special.

A new website to support your campaign

Running a campaign to spread awareness or inform people about a cause you’re passionate about? We can help. Our standard websites have all you need to get started and spread the word, with amazing web design features to bring your website into the 21st century.

For Martha, our web design team quickly got to work with this website, ensuring they were meeting every single one of her website requirements and brief standards. Martha needed a website to not only look nice, but a website that delivered.

And that meant having a website that did more than look nice—it needed to be an informational resource, a place where customers can donate, and a place that Martha can look back on with pride over her new project.

No time to waste then.

UK web design

Here at Red Website Design, we believe in more than designing websites that look good.

Our websites deliver on functionality, too, helping your customers find what they’re looking for. And our designers ensure this is all done on an interface that understands how users interact with content.

For Martha’s Ataxia website, our designers created interfaces that are modern, clean and engaging.

On the homepage, content is delivered on an interface that is evenly balanced thanks to horizontal banners, and presentable thanks to its minimalist layout.

As users scroll down, they’re greeted with content that not only teaches them about Ataxia, but guides them to pages where they can learn more about Martha, her story, where we are on the journey to a cure, and how to donate to the cause.

In this way, our web designers have created a website that is both an informational resource as well as an aesthetically pleasing interface that captures user attention.

Web design visuals

Creating the right visuals is just one key ingredient for success. Another is placing them in the right places, and in the right way.

From the bright colour scheme to content banners and design icons, this website wraps up amazing digital design and presents it to online customers to help them find what they’re looking for.

It’s both visually pleasing and functional, with service pages clearly presented and positioned to help customers head to their next page at whatever stage of the customer journey they may be on.

From start to finish, our UK web design team have helped Martha tell her story—and that of all the other people suffering with Ataxia—and made it easier for people to learn about the disease.
