The right digital presence for a successful take-off
Groundschool London are an aviation training company that provide aspiring and current professional pilots with the right skills, tools, and experiences to stay ahead in the industry.
Requiring a standard website to showcase their services to more clients, they got in touch with us to get it done. Utilising inspiring website design on a clean interface, we helped our client take-off for the skies into a world of new possibilities.
We could be here all day with aviation puns, but read on below to discover how we built something special.
With our design brief in hand, we wanted to achieve several things with this project. First, we needed to create a cutting-edge digital space where services could be listed and customers inspired. This involved having a clear idea about how we wanted to communicate that information to potential clients.
To cut ahead of the competitions, we knew we had to do this in a creative, vibrant, and appealing way. Only then could we begin to think about reaching those audiences.
Our client’s colour palette is both professional and funky, having the right balance between formality and unconventional design.
And it’s really the multi-coloured logo that leads the way with our design, here. From pinks to browns, blue to black, we’ve reflected the design in our client’s logo right across the website from start to finish.
On a white background are headers in various colours, with dominant CTAs in a consistent blue. What we’re achieving with this is design that sparks the curiosity of visitors and entices further action.
On our homepage is where the magic really happens. Scrolling past a full-width slider, customers can immediately view all webpages in one place, bringing more of what they love – and need – faster to their screens.
And it’s thanks to the sticky header that whenever they do scroll, they are only ever one click away from their next step in the customer journey.
User Interface & Experience
Reading, anticipating, and catering for those customer journeys are incredibly important if you want to A) make positive lasting impressions, and B) increase your conversion rates.
If customers’ needs are not met by solutions on your website, they’ll only go somewhere else.
When clients require standard websites that list services, we ensure appropriate design elements are in place to make for a much smoother user experience from start to finish.
On the homepage, for example, the design elements discussed mean our customers are able to navigate swiftly to whatever page they like, whenever.
And when they do travel across to the different pages, we’ve ensured design remains consistent to aid familiarity and trustworthiness – because nobody likes nasty surprises!
On all service pages, the journey taken by potential customers is made a whole lot easier by displaying legible content in a format that works best with images and other text. This means our interface is not only visually appealing, but it’s an interface that has the necessary features in place to fulfil whatever it is customers want to do.
Finally, when we think about successful user journeys, we need to consider the endpoint and what happens next. And this meant ensuring our client’s website contained a user-friendly contact form, as well as a Google Maps widget to bring them closer than ever to their customers.
