Threshers Day Nursery
Threshers Day Nursery is a charity-run nursery based in St Mary Cray, South East London.
Established over 47 years ago, the nursery works to develop the growth and learning of children between the ages of 12 months and five years. Our client wanted to display services and tell their story, all on a brand new, refreshing website design that their visitors could return to time and time again.
We couldn’t wait to get started!
What does it take for websites to really generate interest from new and returning visitors? For our team of UK web designers, it all comes down to appealing visuals.
When web design is successful in connecting businesses and customers, things like conversions and high return rates come naturally.
For Threshers Day Nursery – an education provider with a charitable heart – the website our designers were building from scratch had to tick all the boxes, from visuals to functionality.
Website visuals are crucial – they affect the way we think, behave and act. Visuals that stir curiosity and action are visuals that help business websites succeed today.
And what better way to lead the design visuals than with colour?
Threshers Day Nursery’s blue and white colour palette leads the way, with blue call to actions and white headers helping users find their way.
On the homepage beneath the blue navigation banner, a fixed scrolling background image supports white content banners, helping this website remain on-brand and relevant for audiences looking for these services.
And speaking of services, users can quickly find what they’re looking for. On the homepage, we have a dedicated triple services section with high resolution images and call to action buttons.
But it’s not just the homepage where the magic needs to happen.
In Red Website Design fashion, our designers ensured that design consistency continues to support each webpage, from the about us to contact.
Users can enjoy clear content sections with supporting images, all communicated by a sans serif typeface which injects this presence with the modernity it needs.
On the gallery page, we made it easier for visitors to get to know our client thanks to a clear layout and embedded images which provides users with an enlarged copy of each image.
Designing contact pages the right way could be the difference between a new customer and a lost customer.
For our client, we designed a contact page which makes it easier than ever for them to approach the nursery and fill in their enquiries.
A user-friendly contact form submission is on-hand, whilst contact details to the left help users to quickly note down their location. And to top it off, a maps widget has been inserted at the footer, just above accreditation logos from trusted educational and hygiene inspectors.
Building more than just websites
Our designers do more than help you say what you do. They can ensure that your website becomes a repository of information that users can return to.
For the nursery, the news page ensures that their role in the community for providing trusted information continues, helping visitors stay in touch when the gates close.
