Don’t you just love it when successful data analysis is able to drive and inform future action?
That’s what our client, Butterfly Advisory, are all about. Using cloud-based, Product-As-A-Service solutions, their bespoke data insight products help businesses get a grip of their data and inform their next steps.
Submitting their design brief to our web designers, they wanted a clean, professional and does-what-it-says-on-the-tin website to drive their business further. Here’s how our designers got on.
Here at Red HQ, our designers are driven by web design that gives customers a long and lasting impression. Users – you and us included – have fewer than eight seconds to come to a formative judgement about a website and whether to stay or go.
To make design work for our clients, we need to understand their current position and future goals – how they want their website to look and what they want to get out of it.
But it’s also about making design work for their customers. When web design successfully understands and anticipates user behaviour, it has the ability to make a website more than a website.
Butterfly Advisory are all about making cutting edge data analysis work in your advantage.
Our designers knew they wanted design to reflect their position in the market and their values that represent them there. The homepage is always the place to shine brilliantly, so let’s begin here.
The immediate response you get on this homepage are tones of professionalism, sleek design and an overall refreshing presence.
An orange, grey and white colour palette helps keep things bright and punctual, whilst a sans serif typeface pushes modern professionalism to the front.
Elsewhere, modern icons and other design features such as rounded call to actions – all coloured in the palette’s dominating orange – provide a much more balanced presence along with content that remains concise to its core.
Scrolling down, users are met with high-resolution branded images, a checkerboard information structure and white space to break up content.
On the remaining webpages, our designers carried forward these design elements to make for a consistent journey for visitors. You’ll see titles formatted in the colour palette and style, as well as sub posts featuring more information customers can get their hands on.
In order for data analysis websites to be successful, customers need to be reassured that their browsing experience is being taken care of by a trusted, reputable business.
The way you communicate your services and reputation matters more than ever in our always-on world. One way to make this happen is through harnessing your social proof, the phenomena that gets people clicking.
Social proof is the workings behind positive reviews, galleries and testimonials – the things you look for to reassure and validate your purchasing behaviours.
For our client, this meant utilising design to make their work history shine.
From client accreditation logos to a sliding testimonials banner, our designers have put in place elements that can reassure our client’s customers from the minute they arrive.
