For over 20 years, KC Ellis ltd have been restoring, refurbing, and repairing properties up and down the UK.
With a wealth of experience and skilled craftsmen, they’ve built up a successful portfolio including hotels, galleries and tube stations. To take their game to the next level, they needed a new website.
After submitting their design brief, our team of UK web designers got started on their next project. Here’s how they got on.
Website Design & Interface
At Red Website Design, we’ve been building successful low-cost websites for high-quality results. With a drive to craft the perfect user experience with forward-thinking design, we’re inspired by client satisfaction.
For us, web design means more than turning ugly business websites into attractive ones; we’re all about helping users get from A to B on a journey that they find entertaining, inspirational and suited to their expectations.
For our client who enjoys a strong reputation in their industry, it was important we laid the foundations for a website that their clients would come to expect. Design both needed to reflect the industry our client operates in, and reflect their reputation for new thinking and execution. After all, first impressions are the most important.
On the topic of first impressions, the landing homepage had to be spot on if visitors were going to stay and engage with the website’s content.
When it comes to design visuals, we’re suckers for an attractive colour palette. With a deep blue and crisp silver-grey palette, this presence is both aesthetically pleasing and professional, helping to deliver key design elements embedded throughout.
Below an opening slider sitting on top of one of our client’s images, a straightforward introduction section greets users and guides them further with a call to action set in this blue colour palette.
Next, we have a banner containing service boxes, containing high-quality images and rounded call to action buttons, before a sliding testimonials section where customers can easily view how our client has worked with previous customers.
Immediately underneath, accreditation logos strengthen our client’s reputation further, reassuring visitors of the standards of quality that KC Ellis Ltd work at.
At the footer, as with every website we design, a handy site link and contact section sits neatly next to social media buttons, providing for a well-rounded homepage where users can both get to know our client and explore further navigation routes.
We’re not fans of unexpected design surprises. Not only do they fail to fit in with the surrounding design landscape, they often alert visitors and disrupt otherwise seamless navigation experiences.
For this reason, we make sure to build secondary navigation pages around a dominating design structure.
On each of the services pages, for example, users can appreciate the following through of consistent design. Each page has header titles and images, closely followed by a short section of text, call to actions, and a list of services offered by our client.
What this does is create a much more pleasant, consistent, and seamless navigation experience for users.
