DX Safety are accredited occupational health & safety consultants and UK-leading training providers. These are the people tasked with ensuring all kinds of buildings and private properties are safe and fit for habitation. No simple feat!

From Asbestos Surveys to Fire Risk & Assessments, DX Safety have amassed over 20 years’ experience in their industry – making them one of the most reputable and reliable safety consultant organisations in the country.

When Rob and the team got in touch asking to create a brochure-style website for DX Safety, we couldn’t wait to get started.

We had all kinds of ideas in mind, but one really stuck out: we went into this brief with the desire to create a stunning, modern, and relevant digital presence for our client.

As I’ve just touched upon above, we really wanted a website design that took a health and safety organisation and catapulted it into the twenty-first century, with a brilliant digital presence to do the talking.

The colour palette was a major arena in which we could unleash our creative flow and lighten up this digital space. We did this by flowing blues and greens throughout the website, injecting a clean, lively energy into the website.

Consistence is always key; you’ll find this palette right across the website, too, making it one that’s associable, reliable, and without any nasty design surprises. Having drop-down bars, headers, and CTAs in this electric blue helps to structure the website from start to finish. And this is complimented by a soft grey that balances the whole thing out perfectly. Voila!

Sometimes you say it best when you say nothing at all. Utilising white space was our opportunity to say more by doing less. The effect? A wonderfully modern, crisp website that oozes digital relevance like never before. Having this white background made it a lot easier to foreground the benefits of the colour scheme, too.

But when we do want to say things only text could dream of, we make sure to use high-quality and relevant images with transparent colour over them. All this is great for branding, and just looks amazing, too.

Having all this is great, but beautiful design needs brilliant UI to make it happen.

UI – User Interface

The user interface for DX Safety communicates a modernity you’d expect in a modern website. Landing on the homepage, we’re greeted with a brilliantly-structured website that effortlessly guides you through the information. Whether it’s the opening slider with engaging CTAs, or a three-column box further underneath that displays services, this user interface has everything a customer would need – and more.

We’ve also made information accessible to visitors how and when they want it.

Not just that – this is a responsive website, with relevant links available when they matter, making the customer experience one with purpose.

Good UI also means good usability and navigation performance. We’ve ensured the sticky header remains visible at all times for users, and made sure all content is aligned with the customer journey.

UI has to make the experience convenient and useful, above all. A great feature we’ve added is a Google Maps widget that makes our client present and easily located.


Knowing your target audience is a must for your business. And when it comes to creating content for your website, getting your audience right will make the process a lot easier. From start to finish, the content on our client’s website is perfect for their target audience; it’s informative, knowledgeable, and does everything content ought to.

We’ve added various accreditation logos from external, regulator-backed organisations. Not only do these solidify brand reputation, they add a whole new level of credibility to the business. This is a must if you’re going to want to rise above the competition.
