Helping people see more of the world.
What do we love more than a holiday? When someone else does the organising, planning, and booking. This sort of peace of mind is what our client, HolidayFinderOnline, love to provide people up and down the UK.
Their holiday booking services mean less stress and more ‘this time next week’ moments for people to share. To help them achieve this, they needed an amazing brochure website so they could show even more people how their holiday truly can take off with ease.
Pop further down to see how our web design team put it all together.
As with any other of our brochure websites, our design wizards came together and thought about how they could use design to reflect our client’s business.
For HolidayFinder, we wanted to create a space that was relaxing, familiar, and perfect for jetsetters. The perfect way to start was by implementing a colour palette that users would love.
When visitors first land on a webpage, they are far more receptive to any visuals than anything else – this is why having a good colour palette matters. It’s what sets the mood and overall tone of the website.
What better way to inject sun, sea, and sky across this digital space than having blue, orange, and white?
Navigation bars, headers, and other prominent text are painted in this lovely blue, with call-to-actions, icons, and push buttons in a sun-kissed orange.
Meanwhile, we were still able to retain clarity, professionalism, and legibility through a crisp white background.
Placed across this website are modern and minimalist icons to aid better familiarity with content, as well as allowing users to simplify their whole experience from start to finish.
On top of these features, where would this website be without that amazing above-the-fold image placed immediately underneath the navigation bar?
Great design is meaningless if the interface doesn’t guide users to where they want to be, or doesn’t help them achieve what they want to achieve.
Our client has one simple mission: to make holidaying simple, easy, and straightforward. Designing the interface therefore meant keeping the user’s expectations and journey in mind.
First, we knew we had to make the landing page perform as it should. This meant keeping information simple, co-ordinated, and accessible.
When users scroll down this homepage, they’re able to perform all their tasks – right in one place. This grid system is perfect for simplifying the customer journey and making it easier to navigate across the various webpages to fulfil their requirements.
And if they’re not done, they can continue scrolling where they will find further contact details, an e-mail form for a voucher, and a handy bio about the company.
We all know the internet is saturated with holiday booking websites. This means businesses need to do more to sell their services to travellers looking to get away faster.
One way we were able to help our client get ahead was by implementing features that boosted their social proof strength.
From accreditation logos, ATOL certificates, and social media widgets, online customers will be far more inclined to trust, use, and recommend our client’s services.
