Making a song and dance about a crowd-winning website.
Harbourne-based Mezzo Dance Company inspire young people to get on stage and express themselves through creative dance. Freestyle, street, and jazz are just a selection of dance styles you’ll see these lot perform day in, day out.
After success on the floor, it was time to go digital and promote their services online. And that meant having an eCommerce platform to achieve more.
Take a look at how our design team came together to produce a stunning eCommerce website, packed with all the features you’d expect from a company that wows.
As with any sport and performance-oriented website, we knew we wanted to make design reflect winning values.
Using this design, we’ve created a high-impact, visually stunning presence that takes Mezzo’s ethos and plants it in every corner of the website.
Undoubtedly leading the way with this plan was the vibrant, piercing colour palette. When we first land on this webpage, we’re stunned (in a good way!) with design that grabs our attention – and keeps it there.
Pinks, blacks, and whites fuse together to create a space that oozes creativity and welcomes visitors into a positive space.
It’s a contemporary website through and through. With the opening slider, users can view a selection of images taken of their talented dancers, with relevant CTAs guiding them in the right direction.
This isn’t just a dance website to display services and products. We’ve also built in blog facilities, so our client can keep their community of dancers, parents, and stakeholders informed of the latest news and products.
From the ‘News’ page, visitors can learn all this and more, with the ability to share on their favourite feeds.
You’ll also notice that, to the right of these posts, we’ve added a quick-find blog search bar so users can find what they want quicker and faster.
Across every page of this website, content is clear, engaging, and inviting – everything content should be to get the word out.
Brilliant design is great. But without a meaningful interface, what’s the point? Users need to be able to navigate websites, get a ‘feel’ of things, and be able to carry out tasks, submit forms, and convert. They’ll find that nigh on impossible if your user interface lacks appropriate tools and spaces.
To make sure users can navigate freely across our client’s pages, our designers have ensured an interface that anticipates the customer journey, presents content clearly, and has relevant links to relevant places.
To take the homepage for example – arguably the most important page on a website – users are met with a modern, crisp layout that presents content such as the company introduction, and a grid layout of classes on offer – all accompanied with images.
Scrolling further down, online visitors can access a gallery full of amazing pictures, and be reminded of our client’s reputation through accreditation logos from certified organisations.
Building an eCommerce website, ultimately, means presenting your amazing products online in a way that makes it easier for customer to access from their fingers.
From the ‘Shop’ page, users can access our client’s product listing and begin their journey.
Customers can filter by price, product type, name, date, and popularity to name just a few.
We’ve ensured their choice really is at their fingertips.
