As one of only a few organisations dedicated to placing NQTs in their first school, your interests are their priority. When they submitted their brief for a new website, they told us they wanted a website to not just display services but to connect with teachers and provide a smooth online journey.
Our Fitzrovia website designers got to work.

If we were going to meet these objectives, we would need to transform our client’s website from being an ordinary presence into one that really understands what NQTs are here to do – locate their first school.
Design would have to be communicated clearly, and we would need an interface that works in their interests.
Landing on the homepage, users are enveloped by a professional sky blue and white colour palette, helping to provide a refreshing setting right off the bat. This palette runs deep throughout – you’ll see it from the logo itself right down to call to action buttons and headers.
On top of a white background, this works really well in communicating content. And with a chunky sans serif typeface, this presence is funky, unique and professional all at the same time.
We’re big fans of sliders
This above-the-fold one demonstrates their power to engage with users and create a more compelling and contemporary ‘feel’ to everything. Gone are the days when more text equalled success.
On this opening slider, users can immediately begin their navigation journey thanks to visible call to actions.
Scrolling further down, information is conveyed clearly and in-line with user behaviour – images help to break down content and serve it in bite-sized pieces.
Underneath this we have a contact banner coloured in a gradient light blue on the left running to a darker blue towards the right. The simple ‘call us today’ call to action really emphasises how simplicity can work when done the right way.
Across the other pages, this design layout is repeated to make for a smoother user journey. From header sliders to blue titles and high-resolution images, our client’s content finds its way through to you better and faster.
On the contact page – one of the most important! – customers can take advantage of a user-friendly contact form submission, which enables users to upload a CV to the system.
Navigation and functionality
We don’t just make websites that look great – we make cheap websites that work which help you get ahead for less.
Our client’s typical customer base consists of to-be teachers looking to start their profession. We needed to ensure that navigation functions were in place to help them do what hey came to do – find placements.
From clear service banners throughout the website, to calls to action encouraging users to get in touch – design and functionality work in tandem.
Really topping the bill, however, is the NQT Jobs page, which allows visitors to segment search queries by location, keyword and job type.
