TChinajobs is a recruitment agency connecting aspiring teachers looking to develop a career in China with the right support and connections.
With access to the right resources, industry knowledge, and experienced practitioners, they’ve carved their own unique position their field. To maximise their presence online, they needed a brand-spanking new website to house their content and become the one-stop-shop for finding a teaching job in China.
This wouldn’t be any new website; it would be a professional, clean, and modern interface that our client and their clients can rely on every time they use it.
See how our website designers got to work below.
Just what does a website need to inspire users, encourage further action, and interest? For us, there’s no secret recipe here. It’s appealing web design that does more than look nice for a business.
When done right, visuals and web design can do amazing things to create just the right kind of visual space to keep and retain customers. Day in, day out.
For TChinajobs, the website our designers were to build needed to have the right values and atmosphere that resonate with our client. Values such as professionalism, reliability, and trust needed to be reflected back in visual design. Because when business philosophy meets creative web design, special things can happen.
For any one of us visiting a website, we’re constantly judging the design – whether we’re aware or not. Customers only need around 5 seconds to completely make up their mind whether to stay or bounce. In this time, it’s crucial to invoke in your visitors the need to stay and convert.
Beginning with the colour palette, this is where the magic really begins. Here at Red Website Design, we’re lovers of colour psychology and the amazing benefits it brings to websites. From generally complimenting your visual space to really influencing the way users interact with your website, colours have a tremendous ability to change the way your website is seen and used.
For TChinajobs, a simple yet effective blend of red and white carries design forwards from front to back, leaving visitors with an interface that’s easy on the eye, and easy on the mouse, too. All titles are in red, whilst main content is coloured in black and set in Arial typeface – the perfect mix to balance professionalism with creativity. Meanwhile, call to action buttons are left white with black borders, helping our client to make their voice heard.
User Interface & Experience
Having great design isn’t enough for modern websites today that need to cut through the competition. Websites that work are those with easy interface navigation that use design to assist users with their journey.
On TChinajobs’ homepage, visitors are met with simplicity and calmness in the way of large opening sliders, images, and icons.
Scrolling further down, users can take advantage of a reviews section, as well as content banners which take them to specifically popular pages like the Jobs Board.
Travelling away from the homepage, the minimal interface is seen again across the other pages, as well as above-the-fold semi transparent images to enhance their presence. On the Jobs Board page, a user-friendly navigation system facilitates the job search and enables to filter search by type of job and location. Perfect.
