These days, times are tough for almost everyone, and you don’t need us to tell you how much COVID has had a negative impact on our mental health.
But in times of adversity, we find the strength to keep going. Sometimes, that comes in the form of creative and unique methods of sustaining emotional wellbeing. That’s what our client The Room to Be is all about—harnessing creativity to improve our mental wellbeing and aim towards a better state of mind.
When it was time for a new website to show off their services, they came to our UK web design team.
Web design London
Promoting emotional wellbeing through unique and expressive arts is what our client is all about, and we couldn’t wait to get started.
Our web design wizards had to make sure this website not only worked well for our client, but for each and every web browser who visited The Room to Be—first timers and long-timers.
It needed to be professional but laid-back, inviting and supportive. With the right web and graphic design visuals, this was a real opportunity to create a special kind of digital space.
Beginning with the colour scheme, we wanted this to reflect the inner creativity that drives our client forward every day. With a navy blue and white colour scheme, this website is both professional and familiar.
And thanks to the calmness that the design palette brings to each design element, we’re better able to position content and communicate with users.
We’re big fans of minimal web design and using white space to our advantage. On this website, you’ll see that, throughout, we’ve opted to leave some space for the website to breathe.
And, through that, we can enhance the visibility of service content and call to actions.
For example, on the homepage, as users scroll past introductory content, our client’s services are labelled in colourful circles surrounded by white space. This helps both to provide for a cleaner user journey and advertise services clearly.
Elsewhere on this website, users will be able to see design that they are familiar with. From header banners to the colour scheme and typeface, keeping things continuous is crucial if we are to retain user activity and guide them to the right pages.
And speaking of guiding users to the right places at the right time, our UK web design specialists have built this website around users from front to back.
As soon as they land on the homepage, service pages are clearly labelled through a centralised and above-the-fold navigation banner, with more service pages visible in the horizontal services banner further below.
And, right below this, we have the testimonials banner—the perfect way to remind users of how our client’s services are helping people through expressive emotional wellbeing services.
Building websites that work
From start to finish, this website works so well because it combines design minimalism with functionality. The result is a modern, user-friendly interface that brings together all the elements that make this client so unique.
