Since its foundation in 2005, A&M Plumbing & Heating has grown to become a leading northwest provider of services that keep us warm when we need it most.
Wanting a top-class website presence with even more punch, Mathew asked us to design a fitting digital presence.

Design is one of the biggest pull factors for web users today. If people don’t like the look of what you have presented to them, they’ll quickly go elsewhere. It’s imperative, therefore, that good design captures the attention of users – and keeps it there.
Aligning design with our client’s brand voice, we knew we had to create design that was compelling and attractive. We were able to achieve all this and more with our colour palette.
For a water-based company, what else would users expect other than soft blues, greys, and whites? Not only does this palette feed into natural anticipation of users, but it looks clean, clear, and spacious, too.
Layered over a pure white background, we have all important links, headers, and boxes in blue, and subsidiary text in a light grey. Keeping this consistent throughout enables design here to resonate better with visitors.
Logos are your brand’s visual embodiment that throws what you stand for into the online realm. Getting this right means curating a digital presence that is memorable.

Website Layout & Interface
An intelligent user interface is what allows all this to happen. User interfaces are what allows for a productive, efficient, and enjoyable experience.
To make this happen, we went for a user interface that was intelligent and anticipated the customer journey. From start to finish, this website is incredibly easy to use and has everything right where you need it.
But to capture the initial attention of viewers, we needed a landing page that was responsive and client-focused. That’s why, when users first land on this website, they’re met with a clear above-the-fold compartment that encourages direct action in the form of a ‘Get a quote’ CTA.
Scrolling down, users are presented with a horizontal bar of services that are accompanied by handy icons and CTAs. Content here is brief, snappy, and enticing. Everything you’d want, all in one place.
Once visitors are familiar with these services, it was time to introduce them formerly to the company. A&M Plumbing & Heating do well here in communicating what they do and how they can add value to their customer’s lives.
And to round this off perfectly, we’ve added a Free Quote fill-out submission form to the right (on this and every page) to make it even easier for users to get what they need. Faster.
Proof in the Pudding
It’s always good to let others know how you’re doing. Not only does this bolster your online reputation, it lets users know, indirectly, how you can solve their problems and serve their needs.
A great way to do this is by including a ‘testimonials’ or ‘reviews’ page, dedicated to what others think about your service. We’ve gone further by adding a ‘Happy Customers’ page, introducing our client’s reviews in a more reassuring and relaxed way.
Want to show more by doing less? Include a ‘gallery’ page full of high-quality images of all your latest projects. Having before and after slideshows here means you can show just how amazing your services are!
If you are going to want more conversions, you need contact pages that are optimised for action. This means making it easy for people to get in touch at every stage of their experience. For this reason, you’ll notice a mobile contact number present at the top of every page, as well as the free quote submission form to the right of every page.
Not only that, we’ve added contact details at the bottom of every page, so that when a user is finished browsing, they’re never far from being able to get in touch. This is the kind of usability and functionality you need to strive for when building those mechanisms for contact.
