LogixBooks are our book wizards, helping scientists record their findings in laboratory books made from the highest craftsmanship.
These aren’t your average lab books, either. These are ISO 9706-certified, Library Buckram’d, casebounded, section sewn, and custom-made lab books. Now put that in your Erlenmeyer Flask and smoke it.
The team over at LogixBooks required a standard eCommerce website to list their products and shout about their amazing services.
So we built them one. A website that is spacious, clean, and clear, and is everything LogixBooks represents – and more.
Have a read below to find out how we took a design brief and created our very own Eureka! moment.
Aligning brand with design, we’ve created a digital space that is open, sleek, and inviting. As soon as we land on this website, we’re greeted with a slider that opens up the website with ease and clarity. This is great for setting the overall spacious tone of the website.
And we’ve carried this forward with a clean white background that accompanies pale blue text and headers, giving the website a professional and refreshing appearance.
As you can see, we wanted website simplicity to run throughout the whole website; placing the logo in the central of the page against our white background helps to achieve this and introduce brand values nicely.
And talking of logos, this one really speaks for itself. Representing the ‘L’ of LogixBooks as well as obviously being a book itself, it’s a clever little design that communicates modernity and elegance – what more could you want?
UI – User Interface
Great design makes a website look great. Great UI is all about producing the right kind of feel and ensuring the website is responsive, engaging, and effectively anticipates what visitors may require. UI is the overarching bridge that transforms design into an amazing, transformative digital space where users have the ultimate control over their experience.
Tied into what we were discussing earlier, we wanted to ensure the interface remained simple. By avoiding unnecessary features, visitors are able to get what they need without having to go searching for it. The navigation header is centralised with precise, demarcated buttons. These are great for displaying services simply and quickly.
And from these pages, visitors can add their favourite items into their basket. The layout of these pages do what every eCommerce website should do: deliver products and services clearly, with relevant product information easily accessible.
FAQs are a great feature to add to your website. Not only are they great for responding to the needs and wants of your customers, they allow you to talk more about your products and services in a more indirect way without making a song and dance about it.
For our client, the FAQ page displays all the relevant and useful information for users looking to learn more about their products. And above all, they’re great for answering questions that may pop into people’s heads as they travel across the website, with some questions being more technical – great for addressing target audiences!
We’re really chuffed to bits with this website. It ticks all the right boxes and fits our client’s branding perfectly.
